A Gainesville woman accused of DUI after running into deputy...
A good time turned very bad for a Gainesville woman when she hit the wrong car. According to the Gainesville Sun, "GPD Officer L. Allen saw Krenson driving east on Northeast 23rd Avenue into the intersection at Northeast Waldo Road around 11 p.m.
Instead of turning, the report said, Krenson drove straight into a road sign in the median. Allen pulled up behind Krenson's orange Kia and ordered her to stop driving. Krenson backed into Allen's patrol car and then drove half a block before she stopped.
Her eyes were bloodshot and watery, and when she spoke she slurred her speech, according to the report.
Officers conducted a DUI and traffic crash investigation, the report said. Krenson was arrested. She told officers she had three beers and then said she only had two, according to the report.
Krenson performed poorly on the DUI test, the report said. She provided breath samples, which registered blood alcohol levels of .235 and .255, according to GPD. In Florida, anyone driving with a blood alcohol level of .08 or above is assumed to be in violation of the law."
